Dr. Kovelamudi is the founder and psychiatrist at Hope Psychiatry M.D. She completed both her undergraduate and medical school training at Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She went on to complete her psychiatry residency at Oklahoma University in Tulsa where in her final year served as the chief resident.

After residency, Dr. Kovelamudi went on to work at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Central Texas, where she continues to provide care to veterans.

Dr. Kovelamudi is currently seeing adult patients ages 18-65 for evaluation and treatment of mental health disorders. This involves evidence-based medication and therapy management for the following but not limited to: depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, psychosis, substance abuse, insomnia, obsessive compulsive disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and grief.

 Dr. Kovelamudi has a special interest in holistic/integrated psychiatry where the focus is on lifestyle changes and ways to implement these changes for improvements in mental health. This includes diet, mindfulness, supplements, exercise, sleep protocol and alternative practices which may be helpful alone or in combination with evidence-based medication and therapy management.  Patients can be seen either in person or virtually. She provides a patient centered approach where she listens to your whole story before coming up with a tailored plan with evidence-based treatments and therapy modalities.
