Maegan Ruiz is passionate about joining her clients where they are in life to help them along their journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery. She believes in co-creating a safe place for clients to identify their needs, recognize interpersonal strengths, and build self-love. Maegan strives to help equip her clients with various skills to use as healing tools including self-awareness skills, emotional regulation, and tools to increase personal motivation. Maegan believes that strong, healthy relationships are key to a successful therapeutic process and will assist clients in gaining confidence to set healthy boundaries for short and long-term healing. Maegan believes that you cannot thrive while living life from an empty cup. Living life as your best self starts with filling your own personal cup first.
Maegan specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, and concerns for behavior and emotional regulation. Additionally, Maegan has experience working directly with individuals and families who are accessing Special Education Services in their academic setting. She also works with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Life Transitions.
Maegan Ruiz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Texas A&M Commerce and a Bachelor of Social Work from Texas A&M Central Texas. In all her roles, Maegan has worked closely with families to ensure the client’s emotional and psychological needs were met while also engaging and bridging the client’s family system and community system to support the client’s emotional and psychological needs. Maegan has worked with children, families, and adults in various settings including Juvenile Detention Centers, Human Trafficking Agencies, Domestic Violence Agencies, Non-Profit agencies contracted into school settings, and local school districts providing direct counseling services within the Special Education system. Maegan utilizes various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Regulation Therapy, Person Centered Therapy and a Gestalt Approach. She looks forward to assisting you along your personalized journey to healing.
