Josh Kellar is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor from Belton, Texas. Josh earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry and a Master in Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Abilene Christian University. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Preaching from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.
Josh’s approach to counseling is centered around helping his clients identify what the truth about who they are and how their current thoughts, feelings and behaviors keep them stuck living inconsistently with that truth. Josh has received level-two training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and he is a facilitator of the Parenting the Love and Logic Way curriculum.
Josh works with couples at all stages of life, parents and families, adolescents and individuals. He has experience treating people with anxiety, depression, issues related to identity as well as those grieving a loss. Josh believes that a person’s challenges cannot be separated from the contexts in which they live, work and play. Taking this into consideration he helps his clients discover how their settings have served to make living whole-hearted difficult and/or a source of strength. He guides them in how to make appropriate changes according to their personal or relationship goals.
Josh and his wife have been married since 2002 and have three children. He spends his time outside the counseling office schooling his children, doing CrossFit and running obstacle course races.
osh offers counseling appointments on Monday through Thursdays. He currently accepts TriCare, BCBS, and SWHP Insurances.
