Brian Shepherd is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S). He earned his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family therapy from Liberty University and his Bachelor of Science from Troy University. Brian has experience working with individuals, couples, and families since 2015.
Brian has experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, mood, trauma, self-esteem, and life/work stressor. He works with couples to help with marriage conflicts, improve communication, and repair relationships.
Brian’s areas of focus are adults and couples clients. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy strategies, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused approaches. For couples, he uses Gottman Method. Gottman Method aims to improve communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection. It helps deepen the emotional connection and increase closeness.
Brian is an Army veteran. He likes live music and watching movies. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing basketball and working out.
Brian accepts Tricare, United Health Plan, BCBS, Cigna, and Aetna. He has evening and weekend appointments available.
