Mariana is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish/Psychology and her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She is bilingual, has experience in working with a diverse multicultural population, and worked for non-profit organizations for the past 9 years.
Mariana specializes in working with adolescents who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, behavior concerns, peer relations, anger management, and adjustment issues. She also works with adults struggling with anxiety and depression. Mariana’s approach to counseling includes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy among other modalities.
Mariana provides a safe and supportive environment to help foster the therapeutic relationship. She believes in meeting the client where they’re at, empowering, and providing ongoing support/encouragement throughout the process. Mariana works collaboratively with her clients to provide tools necessary to improve quality of life.
In her spare time, Mariana enjoys spending time with family, sightseeing and traveling.
