Leslie Brown

Leslie Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Belton, Texas. Leslie earned a Master of Arts Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Counseling. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a double major in Religion and Psychology.

Leslie is an integrative counselor, adapting to the needs of her clients, and pursues the best form of therapy for the personality and needs of her patients. She has received basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Level Two of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, CBT training from the Beck Institute and an introductory training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Leslie counsels from a Christian perspective but is comfortable seeing individuals of all backgrounds.

Leslie works with women and teens experiencing depression ranging from hormonal, postpartum and other medical causes to situational stress, lack of coping skills or those dealing with traumatic events. Leslie works with post-abortive and post-miscarriage women, walking alongside them as they process the full range of emotions associated with pregnancy loss. Leslie also enjoys working to repair/maintain teen and parent relationships, seeking healthy communication and healing in, at times, difficult transitional relationships.

Leslie and her husband have been married since 2005 and have three children. They left the United States in 2007 to live in East Asia serving as missionary church planters with the International Mission Board. They spent 7 years in East Asia where 2 of their children were born. Leslie enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, and if she has additional spare time, you can find her either reading, playing with her dogs, exercising, or spending time with friends.

Leslie offers appointments Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and every-other Saturday. Leslie accepts BCBS, Tricare, United Health Care, Lyra, Cigna, and Baylor Scott and White Health Insurance.
