Leslie Brown is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Belton, Texas. Leslie earned a Master of Arts Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Counseling. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor with a double major in Religion and Psychology.
Leslie is an integrative counselor, adapting to the needs of her clients, and pursues the best form of therapy for the personality and needs of her patients. She has received basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), level one of Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and an introductory training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Leslie works with women and teens experiencing depression ranging from hormonal, postpartum and other medical causes to situational stress, lack of coping skills or those dealing with traumatic events. She counsels couples at any point in their relationship. Maintaining a healthy relationship is difficult, and even the healthiest of relationships sometimes need a bit of strengthening and rebuilding. Leslie also counsels couples in crisis that have found themselves at a turning point in their relationship.
Leslie and her husband have been married since 2005 and have three young children. They left the United States in 2007 to live in East Asia serving as missionary church planters with the International Mission Board. They spent 7 years in East Asia where 2 of their children were born. Leslie enjoys spending time with with her husband and kids, and if she has spare time, you can find her either reading, exercising or trying to keep their garden alive.
