About Lanessa

Lanessa Allman

Lanessa, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) received her Master of Arts degree from Lamar University in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling. She is currently at Liberty University in the Doctor of Education program for Community Care and Trauma Counseling. Lanessa has previously worked in a therapeutic role for non-profits and inpatient mental health with abused children, parents, adolescents in foster care, homeless individuals, and young adults. Lanessa uses CBT, TFCBT, EMDR and additional modalities to help clients with their trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, grief, and other mental health needs. She is a mother of four teenage boys and a military spouse. When not working, she can be found cheering on her boys on in sports, reading, doing schoolwork, or hanging with her goats, chickens, and dogs.
Lanessa believes that healing starts when an individual is allowed to be heard and therefore works hard to be an empathetic support for clients to work towards their healing, discover their strengths, and help find an authentic connection with themselves and others.
