About Kristin

Kristin Burks is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Kristin obtained her certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International.

Kristin specializes in working with college students and adult females who struggle with spiritual issues, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, significant life changes, and coping skills. As a Perinatal Mental Health therapist, Kristin has advanced training and experience in working with women who struggle with postpartum depression, fertility issues, family/parenting management, and birth trauma .

Kristin places a strong emphasis on creating a safe and trusting relationship with each client so that they feel comfortable openly sharing their struggles.

Kristin cares deeply about helping people identify what is meaningful, empowering them to gain confidence in their abilities, and aiding them to obtain their goals.

Kristin and her husband have been married since 2012 and have three children. Outside of the office, Kristin spends her time enjoying their home in the country, hanging out with friends, and reading books.
