About Jason

Jason E. Duckworth, LMFT-S, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Supervisor with over 32 years and 15,000 hours of experience in pastoral counseling and marriage and family therapy.

Jason received his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. He also holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Jason has also served as an adjunct professor at Baylor University.

Having completed a 34-year career in the US Army, Jason brings in a wealth of expertise in working with military families. He understands the challenges that the military lifestyle, and deployments in particular, have on couples and families. Since the majority of his service was as a chaplain, Jason is also experienced with understanding the spiritual impact that military service has on the family.

Jason is a Certified Trauma Therapist, and he has received advanced training in Solution-Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Level 2), Gottman Certified Provider, and Advanced Trauma Professional Training. Jason has been utilized as an international Solution-Focused Therapy Trainer in Malawi, Burundi, and Namibia and at the US Army Chaplain Center and School. He is also a Certified Family Wellness Trainer, and he has conducted training in the United States, Germany, and in Korea.

His professional associations include American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy of which he is a Clinical Supervisor.
