Cara Duong is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. She has a Master of Social Work degree from Baylor University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Cara has received advanced training in TF-CBT, EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy, and Adult and Child Play Therapy.
Cara has worked with children and families in a variety of settings such as the public school system, non-profits, and in-home care for children 0-3 years old with developmental delays. She is specialized in working with children, adolescents, and families with childhood traumas, such as sexual abuse, physical abuse, neglect, human trafficking, and witness to homicides. Cara has received advanced training in trauma therapy from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Texas.
Cara assists individuals in the integration of the body, mind, and spirit through experiential and evidence-based therapies. She is a passionate, client-centered therapist that practices with a strength-based approach, empowering individuals to utilize their own inner resources to navigate life’s hurdles. It is her mission to provide every client with a safe space for growth and healing.
Cara enjoys being a wife and mom, eating good food, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
