About Bekah

Bekah Capriglione is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and her undergraduate in Psychology from Indiana State University. Prior to joining Lakewood, she has 5 years of experience including individual counseling; college counseling; parenting, couples, and children; substance use recovery groups; and community mental health services.

While she sees adult clients of all ages, Bekah specializes in college students, young adults, and young professionals. She often works with individuals facing issues with anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, life changes, religious and spiritual issues, self worth, and trauma.  She and her clients typically work towards goals of increased coping skills, self compassion, and healthy relationships.

Bekah believes in a collaborative, curious approach where the client is the expert on his or her life. She enjoys walking alongside her clients and desires to facilitate a safe space for exploring client’s goals and problems. In session, Bekah is committed to partnering with her clients to uncover their inherent strengths and bringing a compassionate eye to whatever comes up. She integrates mindfulness techniques, somatic experiencing, and talk therapy into sessions and tailors her clinical methods towards each client’s unique needs and expressed goals.

Bekah is currently in process of credentialing with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care, Oxford, Cigna, Aetna, and Oscar health plans.
